Bonding

As defined by dictionary.com.- Bonding

1.
Psychology, Animal Behavior

a.a relationship that usually begins at the time of birth between a parent and offspring and that establishes the basis for an ongoing mutual attachment.

b.the establishment of a pair bond.

2.a close friendship that develops between adults, often as a result of intense experiences, as those shared in military combat.

3.Dentistry. a technique or procedure for restoring the discolored or damaged surface of a tooth by coating it with a highly durable resinous material that adheres to the existing enamel.

None of these help me present the point of this article. A few things happened this past weekend. A show was performed and was very well received at Nola Cafe. Couldn't be happier about that. We lost one member of the band, then regained him. Very happy about that as well. We played drunken volleyball at 4 in the morning with our friend Conrad...again, awesome. The band and crew went through a long weekend of fun, sun, and if you're Brett....pain.

This weekend "Those Guys" will be in Citrus County, and WILL be playing a show somewhere. Shout out to Brandon Roberts and P-Dub for getting started on the groundwork there. Hope everyone can come out!

Playing tonight!

Hey everyone, while we planned on coming to good ol' Citrus County to play this weekend, no one suggested a location. So, we made other plans. Instead, tonight we will be playing at Nola, a cafe in downtown Tampa.

A bit disappointed we didn't play in Clearwater last night. Once Thomas arrived we realized we weren't ready, so we devoted the night to practicing. (With a side order of volleyball and vodka.)

Either way, if you can...come see us tonight, ask me for directions if you don't know where it is. This one will definitely be filmed, and posted up by the end of tomorrow night. Hope everyone is having a great Friday, and thank you again for all the support!

Day 7, 8...? I'm done with day counting.

Hey everybody, hopefully the video is being viewed by fans and friends alike, just a taste of some cover songs we wanted to post. We're really excited for tonight, going to be playing at a hookah bar in Clearwater, which also will be filmed and posted up.

Recently we finished our first original song...titled "Douche." - Hopefully with the huge movement of Jersey Shore, it will be well received.

Also in song news, the begining of another song has started, called "Lady Helen." We think it'll be comedic, entertaining, and ridiculously offensive.

As always, keep the clicks coming and re-post for us if you would. It's very appreciated. Thanks everyone!

Day 7 - The video has arrived.

Hey guys, the video is finally here. Although due to Brandon's talking in the background and lack of a professional camera crew, you're going to have to rely on our wit, sheer talent, and undeniable entertainment skills throughout the entirety of the video. - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jb5l8xAiywY

We'll be in Citrus County this weekend for Citrus High's musical, with full intentions of playing afterward, if someone would like to give us a venue. So if you would like us to play for you, just let us know.

As always, keep the clicks coming everyone. As for tonight Eric and A.J. will be working on some new original "Those Guys" tunes. Keep showing your support!

Day 6? I think.

Hello everyone, hope your weekends were all as wonderful as ours. Happy to announce we were able to play our first gig. I know I said the video would be  up on Sunday, but the editing needs some work due to an inexperienced camera-man who decided to talk through a lot of the recording. It will definitely be up by the end of the night though.

Also, the fan page has hit over 100 fans now, and that's amazing. Let's keep passing it along and hope it can reach 200.  Now, the songs we covered in the video are "Beautiful Girl," and "Business Time," both by Flight of the Conchords. We think it'll be quite enjoyable to watch.

And the big news...there will be one additional member joining "Those Guys." After working with him on some music last night, it was proven he'd fit right in for the job. Please welcome Eric Ray Miller,

as our newest, and final member. (Now if someone could show me how to change our Facebook name, that would be great.)

As always guys, keep the clicks coming, and forward, forward, forward. Any events or parties coming up? You know who you want there..."Those Guys."

Day 3 - Kick Some Ass

I realize the post title makes it sound like this entry is going to be action packed, but understand it's not because either of us actually kicked any ass it is due to my seeing the movie "Kick-Ass" last night. Which if you have the time, go see!

Honestly one of the best movies I've been to in a long time. But, enough about that...let's get to the good stuff, right? What's going on with "Those Guys?"

Before my venture to the movies, I swung by hhGregg and picked up the new Sony HD Bloggie. Easily the gayest name I've ever heard for a camera, but I don't judge. The purchase of this camera signifies the beginning of the "Those Guys" webisodes, the first of which should be debuting on Sunday...hopefully.

In musical news, we have the basic frameworks for our first original song laid out. Maybe we could preview on the webisode? We'll leave that up to you. Drop come comments on the blog or facebook page and let us know.

We're definitely very appreciate to everyone who has been checking out the blog and site too. The more the word get's out the better. Please pass along the links if you can. And of course, comment, comment, comment. Feedback is great, whether it's negative or positive.

Thanks again guys, keep checkin' us out, and we'll keep entertaining.

Day 2 - We crawl

What's up everyone, it's day 2 of our journey. I'm glad to report we had a view hits on the blog yesterday, and some definite movement has been happening. I published the website - www.thoseguys.vpweb.com
Please don't hesitate to check it out and leave us some feedback. If there's something you like, let us know, if there's something that look's like shit, let us know. Taking all suggestions and comments in for consideration. Speaking of suggestions, I'd like to give due credit to Mr. Eric Miller. Because of his genius idea, we will be starting the filming of some web episodes, or webisodes for the nerds out there. These will document some of the things that happen to us along the way, and hopefully entertain you at the same time. I'm also very happy to announce that "Those Guys" will be performing at their first gig this Saturday. It will mainly be cover songs and parodies, but none the less...it's something. Thanks for checking out the blog and website if you do, keep the clicks coming.

Day 1 Part 6 - The birth of "Those Guys"

I currently sit in my cubicle, watching the clock count down the hours. As I sit here, I try to brainstorm ideas of how to really get things moving. What do I want to get moving? Great question, I wish I knew what to call it. Recently I've been inspired to get back into the entertainment field; only now I have a decent idea of how to do it. Anyone heard of "Flight of the Conchords?" Not only are they ridiculously funny, they're also a very talented duo, musically and performance-wise. My dream is for myself, and my partner in crime Thomas, to be as entertaining as them.

Lucky for us, we already have a name. The birth of "Those Guys" occurred probably around two years ago. In a quaint, nice restaurant called Applebee's. (Though, not very quaint, or nice.) Every Saturday night was karaoke night, and we were avid attendees. One night, Thomas was hitting on some girl who had a boyfriend, and another acquaintance who happened to be with us cautioned him, "Don't be that guy." I'm sure we've all heard this before. Well, Thomas' response was, "We are those guys." From then, every time we went to the mic. the karaoke DJ called for "Those Guys."

Now understand, we can put on a show. This is a whole new beast though. We'll need patience, practice, prayer, and all the help we can get. Don't hesitate to pass this blog around either, it'll be updated daily to let everyone know what's up.
